STRIKEUP FORUM
Forum Theatre is a live space for testing new ideas. StrikeUp Forum Workshops are a platform for local writers and theatre makers to develop exciting new plays in a pressure-cooker environment.
HOW IT WORKS

Play Video
(hit play to see in full screen)
A local writer collaborates with us to create an original 10 minute script specifically for our workshop.
StrikeUp engage participants of all experience levels to take part as actors, where they play an active role in developing the work through fast-paced rehearsals and imaginative performances, closely guided by our creative team.
At the end of the workshop (after a trip to the bar) we host an open space discussion where everyone in the room is invited to share ideas on where the play could go next.
Workshopped Forum Plays:
Dating with Cloth Ears by Juliet England
Portrait by Sarah Tejal Hamilton
David Attenborough III by David Winship
Old Bag by Rachel Mary
Hold the Revolution by Anthony Bardos
The Coven by Alex Maher
Cancelled by Jack Taylor

If you’d like to be considered for an upcoming workshop, please send us an expression of interest indicating your:

• Connection to Reading
• Script idea for our workshop setting
Please note, we do not read unsolicited script submissions.
